Event Details

Calling all problem solvers! Enter the Pi-Powered Badge-Off to create a wearable device that tackles a real-world challenge or meaningfully improves someone’s quality of life.

A badge is a small device—something you can clip to a lanyard or jacket—that can serve a practical purpose. It might identify you at a con or community event, streamline a workflow at school or on the job, or offer a clever way to track habits, share information, or help someone navigate their day.

Join us for this workshop to explore the Makerspace’s tools, equipment, and materials—and begin building your badge.

All submissions must follow the official guidelines to be displayed and considered for judging. Projects must be fully submitted by Wednesday, March 11. The suggested age range for participants is kids ages 8+ and teens.

Then, come celebrate at the Pi-Powered Badge-Off Reception on Saturday, March 14 from 2:00-3:00pm.

In collaboration with American Renolit Corporation, the contest builds skills through hands-on experiences with programming and coding tools.
