Holidays and traditions are unique to each person and their family and can shape one’s experiences, beliefs and identities. Children who have an awareness, understanding and appreciation of other cultures are more likely to grow up to be adults who are more compassionate, kind and empathetic.
For many children, preschool is the first time spent away from home for an extended period of time. Starting preschool is supposed to be a fun and exciting time for families, but it can also be stressful and produce anxiety.
As your young child grows, you may hear the term “fine motor” or “fine muscle” development. What do these words mean and why are they important? What do they have to do with early literacy?

Books are an important vehicle to share information and ideas and start conversations with children, inspiring today’s youth for a better tomorrow.
