Event Details

Drop in to discover the basics of woodturning and finish a project of your own! Use the lathes to create items like honey dippers, trees, light bulbs, ornaments, bottle stoppers, salt and pepper shakers, pens, and more. Kits for several projects will be provided.

Participants will learn lathe safety, the parts of the lathe, and basic operation techniques. You’ll be able to view example projects and practice on the equipment before beginning your own piece.

During this class, you will work with machinery and a variety of tools. Closed toe shoes are required. Avoid wearing baggy clothing or dangling jewelry, and tie back long hair.
