Shelter for victims of domestic violence.

Five-year project primarily funded by the federal FIREFLY Children and Family Alliance, Administration for Children and Families, through its Community Collaborations initiative. SIF is one of thirteen sites across the country funded by the Children’s Bureau to design, implement and evaluate strategies for the primary prevention of child maltreatment. The project is overseen by Indiana University School of Social Work researchers and staff.

Food pantry open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from noon-3:pm at "The Hope Center" on Johnson Road. Bring an ID or something with your name on it.

There’s a new food pantry open on Tuesdays and Saturdays at “The Hope Center” on Johnson Road.

Services include a food pantry, scheduled weekly community meal, and and a partnership with others to provide community garden and green spaces to help residents access healthy foods.

Unemployment self-service for Indiana residents to file.

The VITA program offers free tax help to individuals, families, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Avaialble January through April.

Provides a monthly ‘credit card’ to purchase appropriate items. In the growing season, WIC offers a farm-to-market program which provides customers with three-$8.00 checks to buy fruits and vegetables Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

A one-stop for job seekers and employers when it comes to career and employment resources.

Provides programs with goals of delinquency prevention, youth development and advocacy, child abuse prevention, and connecting youth to caring adults. Big Brothers Big Sisters, Teen Court, School Buddies, and Kids on the Block are some of YSB’s current programs.
